Dan

Dan has been part of our Community of Generosity for several years as a donor and active volunteer. He is humbled by his experiences at the Kinship Community Food Center and the community is an integral part of his life.

“Being here has reshaped how I view the world. It has opened my eyes to food insecurity and poverty in my neighborhood. Once, a guy came in, and he looked like a younger version of me. His life had taken unexpected turns – and he needed the food. That hit home with me – you can make all the right decisions, but no matter what we do, we are one turn away from needing food.”
