Apple Cinnamon Oatmeal

INGREDIENTS 

  • 2 cups old fashioned or quick oatmeal  

  • 1 apple, chopped, seeded, and cored

  • 2 cups of 100% apple juice without added sugar or 2 cups water    

  • 1 tsp ground cinnamon    

  • ½ cup chopped nuts such as walnuts or almonds  

  • ¼ cup raisins or dried cranberries 

Number of Servings: 4 - ½ cup servings


DIRECTIONS

  1. Cook oatmeal according to the directions on the package. You can substitute apple juice in for water for a sweeter flavor, so toppings such as brown sugar or honey are unnecessary. Otherwise, cook oatmeal with just water!

  2. Add in half of the chopped apple.

  3. Add cinnamon and the rest of the chopped apples and chopped nuts.
