Down Home Mustard Greens
Ingredients
Number of Servings: 5
FEATURED: 2 bunches of mustard greens, trimmed and chopped
FEATURED: 1 Tbsp. hot sauce
3 slices of thick cut bacon, chopped
3 cloves of garlic diced
1 C low sodium chicken broth
½ Tbsp. apple cider vinegar
½ tsp. salt
½ tsp. honey

Total Time: 55 min
In a large pot, over medium heat, cook bacon for about 5 minutes, or until lightly golden.
Add garlic, stirring occasionally and let cook for an additional minute or two, until the garlic is fragrant and starting to brown.
Add mustard greens by the handful, allowing them to wilt slightly before adding more.
Once all mustard greens are in, add chicken broth, apple cider vinegar, salt, hot sauce, and honey.
Cover, lower heat to low, and allow to cook for 20-25 minutes, until greens are tender.
Serve and enjoy!

Replace the bacon with either a fully cooked chicken leg or thigh in place of step 2.
To make vegetarian, remove bacon and substitute chicken broth for vegetable broth and add 2 tsp. smoked paprika
