Lauren

Lauren is a mother that was born and raised in the Riverwest neighborhood. The food center community has always been a part of Lauren’s life, as she remembers coming to receive food with her mother. After major loss in her life and struggling with her health after her first daughter was born, she knew where to go to make ends meet and find support. She continues to come to be a part of the loving community she knows best.

“The healthy food has allowed me to regain my health, and the communal support has given me the strength to raise my children to the best of my ability. We are not coming to just get food, we are coming to spend time with the friends that feel like family.”
